LOTUS & NINE COINS represents the achievement of a life that is blessed with the the qualities of "Social Promotion", "Prosperity", and "Good Fortune". While all five of the blessings from "The Three Gods" are connected to one another, all sought to strive for a long life of prestige and prosperity. The symbolism of the visual elements in this painting are also seen on many tiles in the game of Mahjong.
