The profusion of ideas generated from my original series, KNOT PLAY, led to the next phase of this series - KNOT PLAY II. Knots truly are more numerous than the stars. Taking the complicated subject and visually translating it as play on words continues to be an enjoyable and amusing project.
While this series leans to the more “fanciful” and “playful” aspects, it still pays homage to the prehistoric phenomena of knots. Fundamental to human development, knots are man’s oldest and most useful technical and decorative devices. And not to be overlooked, nature is also a great teacher of what cordage can accomplish - bird nests, spider webs, vines, etc.
