"There's Music In The Air"  by George F. Root is a hymn that describes music as a presence in the natural world, celebrating its uplifting and soothing qualities. The lyrics evoke images of dawn, noon, and twilight, with music accompanying each phase. The first verse focuses on the joy of morning, the second on the solace found in shade during the heat of the day, and the third on the peaceful beauty of twilight.

George Root (August 1820 - August 1895) was a romantic American composer who found fame during the American Civil War.  He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970.
